The legal team at Taylor & Waldrop Attorneys is pleased to announce that Attorney Clyde M. Taylor III will be attending the Eighteenth Annual National Federal Habeas Corpus Seminar in Cleveland, OH from August 15-18th. This nationally-recognized program will focus on the improved representation of capital habeas cases, through which capital habeas litigators will have the chance to address "claim identification, investigation, factual and legal development and presentation of claims, the use of mitigation and mental health experts, substantive and procedural habeas corpus jurisprudence and clemency practice." Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a number of focused sessions, wherein they can examine the impact of recent and pending Supreme Court decisions, including each of the following:

  • Johnson v. Williams
  • Ryan v. Valencia Gonzalez
  • Martinez v. Ryan
  • Maples v. Thomas
  • Cullen v. Pinholster
  • Harrington v. Richter

The seminar will address new developments and trends in the federal courts of appeal, as well as new legislative initiatives and administrative actions that could affect capital habeas representation. For this reason, Clyde M. Taylor III is excited to extend his knowledge of the law and gain further insight on the subject.
